What the hell was this event anyway? Yeah, we ask ourselves all the time. It was first a cozy event (read: attended by friends only) at Koo's when it was in Santa Ana. Upon Koo's demise it moved to the Arc and then by happenstance added visual art to the music. Attendance grew with one particular show being packed with a real good vibe. Then upon the Arc's closing we blew up at the Spurgeon. Seriously, one of the main reasons we couldn't go on with the events is that there were too many people there. But we ain't madatcha.
So what was once a low-key all electronic music event has turned into an all encompassing art experience, which we think is better than our first idea. So, we want to keep going.
But where to now? We've gone over the possible scenarios and we've realized that we need a space of our own. A place we can use as a studio and office for our other endeavors and then also host Ground Flor monthlies in conjunction with the first of the month Santa Ana artist village openings.
But this all takes money (of which we have little). Instead of putting on a series of half-ass events we are instead concentrating on our art with the goal of raising funds to open our own place and continue the monthlies. It'll be the same but different. We've learned alot and have lots of new ideas.
If you are on our mailing list you will be informed... we refuse to lose.
